Our team in Jordan, in collaboration with The Boeing Company and the Ministry of Youth (وزارة الشباب الأردنية), has launched the third edition of the Careers in Aviation program, empowering 60 young Jordanians with the skills, knowledge and industry exposure they need to build shining futures in aviation. From intensive English and digital literacy training to behind-the-scenes visits at airports and aviation facilities, the program gives participants a real-world understanding of what it takes to thrive in one of Jordan’s fastest-growing sectors. With over two-thirds of last year’s cohort securing jobs and internships with Royal Jordanian Airlines and other local aviation companies, the program continues to demonstrate the critical role that public-private partnerships can play in workforce development. At the launch, leaders from across the public and private sectors (including H.E. Eng. Yazan Al Shadifat, Minister of Youth; Carol Alameddine from Boeing; Nour Al Rasheed, Director of Amideast Jordan; and Eng. Feras T. Alhendawi of the هيئة تنظيم الطيران المدني الاردني Jordan Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission) gathered to show their support for Jordan’s next generation of aviation professionals.
