Legislation lowering the driver’s license permit age to 15 in Kentucky is now in effect, so driver vision testing requirements apply to 15-year-olds. If you have a child getting ready to turn 15, make sure you tell your doctor of optometry that your child needs a driver vision testing certification form at his or her next annual exam.

Spring vacations usually mean the beach and fun in the sun. Don’t forget to pack the items you need to take care of your vision. Good sunglasses are more than just a fashion accessory because overexposure to ultraviolet rays fast forwards aging of the eyes and increases the risk for serious diseases.
