We are a platform through which the United Nations can engage the MUN community, share information and act as a source of inspiration. MUN Impact delivers experiential learning opportunities for students that are focused on the SDGs and that bring together diverse individuals from around the world. We host world class, student-planned and executed events that allow for further sharing and collaboration around the SDGs.

MUN Impact
MUN Impact is a U.S.-based nonprofit organization with a mission to harness the power of Model United Nations (MUN) to inform, inspire, and motivate its participants into action supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The organization aims to create a world where all students have the knowledge and skills needed to promote and support these goals, particularly aligning with SDG 4.7, which focuses on ensuring that all learners acquire the knowledge and skills needed to promote sustainable development.
Vision and Objectives
MUN Impact's vision involves aligning MUN programs worldwide with the SDGs and connecting them with the United Nations' activities. It seeks to highlight innovative MUN programs and delegates that work towards advancing the SDGs, engage in dialogue and partnerships to foster action on these goals, and develop best practices for SDG awareness within the MUN community.
Activities and Partnerships
The organization collaborates with Model United Nations organizations, UN agencies, and NGOs to host SDG-focused MUN conferences, leadership events, and workshops. It provides resources and guidance to integrate SDG awareness into MUN conferences. MUN Impact also curates and promotes SDG-focused resources for the MUN community, fostering a global movement to advance global citizenship through education and action in line with the SDGs.
Impact and Outreach
To date, MUN Impact has been able to reach over 20,000 students in more than a hundred countries. It offers educational programs such as MUN@Home, a free virtual course for middle and high school students, focusing on Model UN and SDG-related topics. This includes online coaching and mentoring from experienced high school students to develop skills necessary for success in MUN, which are also applicable in real-world scenarios.
Media and Resources
MUN Impact also produces and shares SDG-related videos and resources to energize conferences and outreach efforts, emphasizing the urgency and possibility of achieving the SDGs during the Decade of Action.
