Inspiring Growing and Developing the Next Generation of Future Makers WELCOME TO OUR HOUSE WELCOME TO OUR HOUSE WELCOME TO OUR HOUSE OUR MISSION Summer House Institute exists to grow and develop young men of color who will soon finish college and enter the workforce through an affinitybased learning cohort model to prepare SHI Fellows to significantly contribute and increase representation in public education creative and tech industries by preservice work and early exposure opportunities in these respective fields. Our WORK is suPPORTED BY OUR 2024 COHORT We recently welcomed a new class of education cohort members within our summer program. Were proud of their work and are excited to see them apply it as they embark on their careers in education. RECENT NEWS On September 20 2022 Summer House Institute fellow Brandon Jenkins testified at a joint hearing of the Texas House Committees on Public Education and Higher Education.
