September's Mission encourages decisions-makers to give the utmost care and consideration for the victims of 9/11 and their families when planning the 9/11 Memorial. September's Mission also serves as an intermediary for survivors and family members to inform them of activities related to the memorial development process. September's Mission focused on two major "legacy programs": 9/11 Campaign, a fundraising initiative for educational and cultural programming; and the Living Memorial, an interactive portal for educational, scholarly, and personal explorations into 9/11. September's Mission also helps first responders who were injured in 9/11.
