PAW is a 501c3 that rescues abused and neglected animals in crisis situations worldwide Protect Animals Worldwide’s mission is to protect animals, and our focus is rescuing abused and neglected animals in Brazil. We have a dog/cat rescue in Southern Brazil, and an equine rescue in northern Brazil. Our rescues are available for adoption worldwide. We also aim to educate the public on ejiao. Donkeys are being rounded up and sold to China, as some Chinese believe oil from donkey skin, ejiao, has medicinal purposes. The demand for ejiao has recently increased. Our goal it to rescue as many homeless donkeys as possible, so they will not be used for this purpose. We also hope to help increase animal welfare protection laws with the Brazilian government, ultimately leading to less cases of animal abuse.

Joana Had Her Surgery ❤️🩹 We rescued Joana on April 22nd with a devastating facial wound, maggots were eating away the right side of her face. Today, after weeks of care, she underwent reconstructive surgery. Skin from her head was used to close the massive wound.
