The Dreyfoos School of the Arts Foundation's mission is to enhance the arts and academic programs at the Alexander W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts. Founded in 1993, the mission of the School of the Arts Foundation, a 501 (c) (3) organization, is to enhance the internationally recognized arts and academic programs at the Alexander W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts. Funds raised by the Foundation provide for curriculum enhancements that cannot be funded through the School District.  The Dreyfoos School of the Arts, a public magnet high school, enrolls over 1300 students from all areas of Palm Beach County.  Students apply to audition in one of six art areas: music, theatre, dance, communication arts, digital media and visual arts. Students are put through a rigorous audition process and are admitted based solely on their demonstrated artistic talent. Once accepted, every student participates in advanced courses in their art area and either a traditional or advanced academic high school curriculum.
