🌟 What a weekend for the Family Sunshine Team! 💙 On Friday, Executive Director Tay Knight, Brinkley Jones, and Louisa the Facility Dog joined community partners at the Montgomery County Youth Facility to plant pinwheels in honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month. It was a meaningful moment of reflection and hope, made even more special by the presence of Honorable Calvin L. Williams, Presiding Family Court Judge. 💐 Then on Saturday, we swapped our workwear for wigs and kaftans at the Mrs. Roper Romp in Old Cloverdale! This colorful, joy-filled event—hosted by Harvill Creative House—was a groovy fundraiser benefiting Family Sunshine Center. Call it what it is Phrases like: ▪️ “Got lucky” ▪️ “Scored” ▪️ “Took advantage” ▪️ “Had their way with someone” …might sound casual, but they can disguise or even normalize sexual assault.
