Founded in 2013, The Neighborhood House of Long Island provides support groups for those grieving the loss of a loved one due to overdose and suicide. Our groups meet in Sayville, Riverhead and soon to meet in Nassau County. Contact us for info. The Neighborhood House believes that people, especially children and families, living with loss deserve a special place where they can connect with others, receive the support and help they need to heal, and discover their own strength and resilience. It is our mission to provide support groups to individuals and families struggling in the aftermath of loss so that they can grieve at their own pace. We aim to restore hope, and provide a community of kindness, respect and acceptance. Our services are available to people of all race, orientation, and religious practices.
