How did Indian Mound Cottage become the architectural treasure it is today? After purchasing the home in 1905, William Rockefeller transformed it with extensive renovations between 1912 and 1917. He added eight family rooms, six service rooms, and even built the sea wall in 1916 to protect the property—a feature that still stands today.
