Basecamp Prevention + Wellness
Supporting you in living your best, healthiest life. Free to everyone, everywhere. We heart you! The FIT Project is a 6-month lifestyle intervention in which families in need receive a gym membership, nutrition and cooking classes, a personal trainer, and a dietitian. We know healthy lifestyle habits, healthy eating, and physical activity can lower the risk of becoming obese and developing diseases. However, the dietary and physical activity behaviors of children and adolescents are influenced by many sectors of society, including families, communities, schools, child care settings, medical care providers, faith-based institutions, government agencies, the media, food and beverage industries and entertainment industries. At The FIT Project, we work with all members of the family to make sure healthy changes are adopted by all members of the family, setting everyone up for long-term health and success.
