Anne Arundel County Sports Hall of Fame – Recognizing Athletic Excellence in Anne Arundel County AACSHOF Banquet Anne Arundel County Sports HALL OF FAME HISTORY The Anne Arundel County Sports Hall of Fame was established in 1991 for a twofold purpose. The Primary function of the organization is to recognize Anne Arundel resident who have excelled athletically or who have contributed greatly to the advancement of county athletics. Each year a class of three to five individuals is selected for induction into the Anne Arundel County Sports Hall of Fame at the annual banquet in October at Michaels 8th Avenue in Glen Burnie. To be eligible for consideration candidates must have resided in Anne Arundel County for a period of 10 years or have maintained a close affiliation with the county while away achieving prominence in their field.
