With soccer, service work and cultural immersion at the heart of each itinerary, Woza broadened the perspective of players by demonstrating their ability to connect with people of all backgrounds and engage long-term in soccer-focused social impact. In late 2020, Woza decided to close its doors indefinitely and any additional funds raised will go to our hand-picked beneficiaries carrying out our mission and operating in the field of Sport for Development and Peace. Woza’s Soccer’s creation was fueled by the belief that sport is a powerful connector and soccer is more than just a game. Seven years after our inception, there are 300 alumni with the Woza experience inspiring their futures and our partners have expanded their programming and possibilities. We’re incredibly proud of Woza’s past success as we close our doors indefinitely.

We were excited to connect Sam, the high school student representative of Rye Kicks it Forward, with our scholarship partner, South Bronx United.
