The mission of the OsteoPETrosis Society is to provide education and support to patients and caregivers, as well as medical professionals who are dealing with osteopetrosis. In addition, the foundation plans to support research into an osteopetrosis treatment and cure.The OsteoPETrosis Society helps patients, families and caregivers worldwide.

The OsteoPETrosis Society (OPETS) What is OsteoPETrosis. Osteopetrosis is a rare congenital bone disorder where bones are abnormally dense and brittle. This results froman imbalance between the formation of bone and the breakdown of the bone. There are several types of osteopetrosis of varying severity.
