We admit it. We're hypocrites. We don't like when people take down trees, but we love when beavers do. Beavers are a keystone species for a reason. Their engineered wetland ecosystems increase biodiversity, mitigate floods and droughts, create carbon storage sinks, act as a barrier against wildfires, and naturally filter water. In short, beavers are dam good at what they do. Don't let them celebrate International Beaver Day by themselves.
