BERGEN COUNTY PROTECT & RESCUE FOUNDATION
permanently closed Bergen County Protect and Rescue is a No-Kill Animal Welfare Facility located in Cliffside Park. It was founded in 2012 by Bergen County's very own local Animal Control Agency and concerned citizens. The idea of creating a no-kill facility came to be when animal control officers were forced to take lost and abandoned animals to surrounding veterinarians and animals shelters.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of one of our rescues from Ruin Creek Animal Protection Society, NC, Maddy formerly known as Ivey. Ivey came to us emaciated and in poor condition. Our wonderful volunteers Denise and Diana fostered her and with lots of love and TLC she was brought back to health.

Jemma came from the Bloomfield Shelter and remained sheltered with Bergen County Protect and Rescue for 5 years before she was finally adopted by one of our wonderful volunteers with whom she had developed a strong bond.
