A charter middle school, high school and transition program for learning and socially challenged students 6th gr through age 22. Where education meets life. Recognizing that some students have challenges & require unique strategies for making learning fresh and accessible is what Focus Academy is all about. Offering middle, high, & transition programs for students in 6th grade to age 22 with special needs. Focus Academy is a charter High School and Transition Program for students ages 14 - 22 who require services under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and have, or are eligible for, a Transitional Individualized Education Plan (T/IEP). Our mission is to provide a proactive, relationship-based, environmental approach to learning that considers each student’s unique sensory, social, emotional and educational needs. Focus Academy offers our students rich and varied opportunities for individual development, social interaction and connection, relationship building and social-emotional growth, equipping them with the necessary tools to move beyond the classroom and to become active members of the community.
