Last night, WEDU PBS in their summer series “Greater” aired a special story about the Center for Great Apes. This episode is titled “Greater: Wauchula”. Kudos to director/producer, Ashley Stokes, for her thoughtful presentation of the work we do at the sanctuary. (fb)

Brooks is back and showing off his latest leaf haul! 🍂 This handsome and oh-so-photogenic chimp loves collecting leaves… but not to snack on! Nope, Brooks prefers to carry them around like prized treasures, proudly showing them off to anyone nearby. (Just look at him! We might be a little biased, but we think he's absolutely perfect.) Brooks reminds us that sometimes the simplest things—like a handful of dry leaves—can bring the most enrichment. (fb)
