On Friday May 23rd a field day was held at Oasis Elementry North School. The principal and teachers celebrated another successful fund raiser for the Collier/lee county Honor flight. Over 800 kids (K-5th grade) attended the event. All kids meeting there objective of $50 + in tee shirt sales were given the opportunity to "slime" there favorite teachers. As the school was able to achieve there over all objective of $5500 the Principal had to dance on the roof of the school for all the students. I have attached a slide show of the Boot Camp event all the kids participated in with 8 Veteran and Honor Flight Board members. Walter Yeaw coordinated the event with the school. If you click on second slide and the second to last slide they are videos of the camp activities and the school celebration. Walter Yeaw awarded the Principal Kevin Brown a certificate of appreciation from the Honor Flight organization. (fb)
