Grassroots is excited to celebrate this week's All Star, a team member who is making a difference at Grassroots through their work helping our consumers and other team members. Congratulations to Matt, Emergency Motel and Ongoing Support Case Manager! Matt has been with Grassroots since July 2024 and oversees the case management for all guests who are staying in motels while also having a case load at the Grassroots emergency shelter. He is always going above and beyond to assist with whatever is needed to get anyone housed. Matt works closely with other agencies that are helping house emergency shelter guests, making sure that everything is submitted and approved and helping create a smooth transition to permanent housing. Wherever there is a need, Matt is always willing to give a helping hand to make sure our guests have the best experience possible. We are so thankful to have Matt as part of our team! The Grassroots Crisis Center is open 24-hours-a-day at 8990 Old Annapolis Road, Suite A in Columbia for free walk-in mental health, substance use, crisis intervention or homeless services support. You can call us at 410-531-6677 or call, text or chat 988. The Grassroots Day Resource Center is open from 2-6 p.m. at 10390 Guilford Road, Suite A in Jessup. Individuals can receive hot meals and access laundry, showers, connections to social services and a food and clothing pantry. There is no bus service to the Day Resource Center today.
