This week, we would like to shine the spotlight on Cindy Wright, who is celebrating her 13th year of volunteering with Delaware Hospice! Her journey with us began as a way to give back to the community, inspired by her own experience as a family caregiver. That deep understanding of the hospice mission shines through in every interaction. “While I enjoy my role doing data entry for Memorial Donations, my true satisfaction comes from spending time with patients and their families. I love to hear their 'story' and am honored when they choose to share a glimpse of their life with me.” When she’s not volunteering, Cindy soaks up the sunshine whenever she can. She enjoys walking with a friend, working in the yard, or simply taking time to reflect outdoors. (fb)

You may have heard the news... Our beloved President and CEO, Susan Lloyd, has announced her plans to retire later this year, concluding an extraordinary 38-year career with Delaware Hospice. Under Susan’s visionary leadership, Delaware Hospice has grown from serving just 35 patients a day to supporting thousands of patients and families daily through our hospice, palliative care, pediatric, bereavement, dementia care, and community outreach programs. We are endlessly grateful for her leadership, compassion, and unwavering commitment to our mission and we wish her all the best as she prepares for this exciting new chapter with her friends and family. While we’ll miss her deeply, this is not goodbye just yet. Over the coming months, we look forward to celebrating Susan and the incredible legacy she leaves behind.
