Tuesday evening weekly trail work is on 5/27 from 3pm to 6pm ish at Phil’s World. There will be beverages following trail work!!! Work description - Trimming, fixing erosion issues and cleaning drains. Use shovels and buckets to fill ruts and McLeods to tamp, hoes to chop brush out of tread and clean drains and loppers to trim vegetation. Parking and Tool location - Main South Hwy 160 Phil’s parking area. Tools will be at the parking area. After meeting we will split up into groups and some will be driving or biking closer to more remote work areas. Work location - Working on various sections including 2-more. If you have not received safety instructions you will need to find a trail leader before starting work. This is an exciting opportunity to improve the local trail system which would not exist if it was not for volunteers like you. Tools are very sharp so please do not use them with flimsy footwear! Wear sturdy footwear and bring gloves, water, sun protection, hat, snacks and eye protection. Before starting work you will need to sign a SWCCA waiver and BLM waiver. Tuesday evening trail work 5/20/25 from 3PM-6PM at PHIL’S. Meet at the main parking lot then we will split up into groups. The plan is trail maintenance, soil should be perfect. Please sign the SWCCA waiver, BLM forms, grab a tool and find a crew leader. Bring water, snacks, bug spray, wear pants, sturdy shoes, eye protection, and gloves. You will need to receive safety instructions from a crew leader if you have not been to trailwork this year, want a refresher, or have any questions. Cold beverages following trailwork!!
