Our thoughts and prayers are with the communities of western North Carolina. The impact of Hurricane Helene and the devastation it left in its path are catastrophic. The Cannon Charitable Interests has long been a supporter of many nonprofits and colleges in the western part of our state and is committed to the needs of community members and rebuilding efforts over the years to come. Initial emergency funding has already been released. Staff is in contact with many organizations in western NC to learn how best we may support them with both their immediate needs and long-term efforts. (fb)
