Williamsburg AIDS Network
The Williamsburg AIDS Network was founded in 1990 as a grassroots, volunteer organization to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS and to provide services to those infected with HIV in the Greater Williamsburg area. The organization was incorporated and received its 501(C)3 nonprofit status in 1994. Services were provided solely by volunteers until 1996 when the first client services coordinator was hired with funds from Ryan White Title II. WAN now offers an array of testing and counseling, education, and client services programs. We remain commited to developing awareness, focusiprevention and HIV counseling and testing programs. ng resources, and educating the community on HIV/AIDS, and offering services to those living with HIV/AIDS. There is no charge to clientelle for any programs or services.
