Parents: Does your child’s coach keep appropriate boundaries? Do you know how to tell if a sport environment is safe or unsafe? And what are signs of grooming? The SafeSport Ready™ app can help you stay aware of abuse—and foster an understanding of safety in your child’s sport or activity. Find answers to these questions and more on the app today. https://uscenterforsafesport.org/safesport-ready-app/ #Parents #Sports #YouthSports #USCenterForSafeSport #EndAbuse (fb)

Did you know there are policies in place to protect your kids in sport? If your child or teen competes in the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Movement, or if they play for a local club that’s affiliated with the Movement, they’re protected under SafeSport's (or the Center's) Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policies, also known as the MAAPP. The MAAPP limits one-on-one interactions between Adult Participants and Minor Athletes, particularly when it comes to sport-related activities, like locker rooms, manual therapy, transportation, lodging, and more. Learn about the MAAPP and how it works to keep your child safe. And if you’re unsure if the MAAPP applies to your child’s sport, reach out to your child's sport organization to find out. https://maapp.uscenterforsafesport.org/ #Sports #YouthSports #Parents #USCenterForSafeSport #EndAbuse (fb)
