The young musicians attend several high schools in the Quad Cities area and all have demonstrated an understanding of β and interest in performing β classic jazz from the era when Bix Beiderbecke was one of its most revered musicians. **NOTE: Bix Youth Jazz Band members receive $1,000 scholarships after their senior year.

2025 Bix Jazz Festival ππΆππ» Band Bio #8 β GRAYSTONE MONARCHS πΌ The Graystone Monarchs is comprised of outstanding classic jazz musicians who are performing at the Bix Beiderbecke Jazz Festival. The Monarchs play many of the songs associated with Bix that were recorded during his time with the Jean Goldkette and Paul Whiteman Orchestras. And the musicians are also capable of breaking down into smaller groups to play music that Bix recorded with the Wolverines, Bix and his Gang and Frankie Trumbauer and his Orchestra.
