On Wednesday April 2nd a delegation from Libertas along with members of other Memphis school communities visited the Tennessee State Capitol to meet with state Representatives and Senators to urge their support for important legislation affecting early childhood education as well as charter school approval, facilities and funding. During a busy day, we met with many representatives from Shelby County as well as statewide leaders: Senate Minority Leader Raumesh Akbari Senate Majority Leader Jack Johnson Sen. Brent Taylor Sen.
