🌈 Rest in Love, Bentley & Amaya 🕊️ It breaks our hearts to share that our newest babies, Bentley and Amaya, both crossed the rainbow bridge today. Amaya passed away early this morning around 2:30 AM. Bentley followed later in the day. We suspect pneumonia, but sadly, with puppies this young, their little bodies can’t always fight off illness—especially when they’ve come from such difficult beginnings. This is Bentley after his last meal. Without Amaya, he no longer had his cuddle buddy. The decline happened so quickly. That’s the tragic reality of rescue sometimes—especially with the most fragile little lives. We did everything we could. We gave them warmth, love, medical care, and the gentlest goodbye we could offer. Rescue isn’t always happy endings. But it will not stop us. It only strengthens our commitment to keep fighting for every life we can. Please, help us honor Bentley and Amaya by spreading the message to spay and neuter your pets. Our two newest little souls—only five days old—are incredibly fragile and without their mama. We’ve named them Bentley (boy) and Amaya (girl), and they desperately need all the strength, love, and support they can get right now. Bentley is hanging in there—he’s got a good appetite and a little more strength, but he’s still dehydrated and being monitored closely. Amaya is struggling. She hasn’t eaten a full meal today and isn’t latching. She was seen at @kaimukiurgentvet where her temperature was dangerously low and she was dehydrated. We hope she will make it through the night and are doing all we can.
