It was a great day to Celebrate the future trail connecting Sauk and Dane Counties! (fb)
Please take the time to review and comment on the plans for our sister trail the Walking Iron trail in Dane country. The proposed improvements include conversion of the existing railbed to a 10-ft paved or aggregate multi-use trail, reconstruction of 7 existing bridges, and existing parking lot trailhead improvements. Comments are due before May 7. Built on a former Union Pacific rail corridor this 11. 4mile trail is paved with asphalt.
