The only non-profit animal support available for 100,000 square miles of rural Alaska! venmo - @PAWSofNome PAWS of Nome is a 501(c)(3) non-profit all volunteer organization based in Nome, Alaska whose mission is to provide animal rescue services, education, and outreach to the Bering Straits Region in Western Alaska. We provide no-cost animal-related support for over 15 rural communities. PAWS volunteers and our partners facilitate the rescue, rehabilitation, and re-homing of dogs and cats - providing services for owners, strays, and animal control efforts on a regional level. Our team has saved over 1,000 animals since 2013! Animals are transferred to partner rescues in the Anchorage, AK area (Alaska’s largest city) where they receive veterinary services, vaccinations, are spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before being adopted to their forever homes.
