Willington Scholarship Foundation DFS, Inc.
The sole purpose of the Willington Scholarship Foundation Dollars for Scholars (WSFDFS) is to provide scholarship assistance to Willington, CT residents who are graduating high school seniors or have completed their first year of post-secondary schooling and who are pursuing their education at an accredited two or four-year institution. The scholarships include both merit awards which are based solely on academic data and need based awards which are based on merit plus a financial need component. All funds raised by the WSFDFS go to scholarships, with less than 5% spent on mailing, non-profit fees, and insurance. There is no paid staff; all the organization's work is done by volunteers.
