Tim Lane, long-time friend of Iowa runners and bikers passed away earlier this month. Tim joined the Dam to Dam Race Commitee as our Community Enhancement Chair. He brought to the Committee a project that he was passionate about -- Tim dreamed about creating a lasting memorial to the 1985 Iowa State Women’s Cross Country plan crash tragedy. He succeeded in a big way and the Memorial will forever be a reminder of the tragic event and Tim’s persistence in getting it done. It is an achievement that the Dam to Dam Race Committee is extremely proud of!!! Thank you Tim for your passion and leadership – it was a great ride.
