Island Puppy Rescue Home Recent Adoptions Adoption Basics Contact Us About IPR Happy Tails Links More Island Puppy Rescue has suspended rescue operations effective August 1 based on new CDC regulations banning the importation of puppies younger than 6 month old from rabies free islands Sadly August 1st marked the end hopefully not permanent end to our mission of finding loving homes for homeless island puppies. The CDC has banned the importation of puppies under 6 months old which brings our work to a stop since 6 month old puppies are too big to travel in airlline passenger cabins. We along with other rescues are working on ideas to convince the CDC to exclude us from this ban. More on that later.
