Fairfax FISH, Inc.
Fairfax FISH (For Immediate Sympathetic Help), working in conjunction with the Office of Coordinated Services Planning, a division of Fairfax County Department of Neighborhood and Community Services, responds to requests from local citizens who are in temporary need of life's basic necessities. Fairfax FISH is an ecumenical, all-volunteer outreach program begun in 1975 with 14 active member churches each with a representative on the FISH Council. FISH emphasizes emergency help for immediate needs and provides a framework for working together in local outreach.
