Most of your remember our sweet boy, Espresso. This is his brother, adoptable Essex. While Espresso may no longer be with us- we know the best way to honor him is by helping Essex find the loving home he deserves. Essex is a gem—playful, affectionate, and wonderfully well-behaved. He spent time in a foster home recently and we were able to learn so much about him! During his time in the home, he didn't have a single accident indoors and slept quietly in his crate when left alone or at night. His favorite thing they said? Fetch! He’ll happily chase a ball in the yard until you both need a break. And while walks can still be a bit intimidating, he’s gaining confidence each day—especially with gentle encouragement and plenty of time to sniff the world around him! Adoptable Strata is a gem! This sweet girl came to us from our friends at Chicago Animal Care and Control after being picked up as a stray— and she’s been winning hearts ever since! Strata loves people, pets, and playtime. Whether she’s running around, going for a walk, or soaking up cuddles, she’s happiest by your side. She also has potential to live with other dogs! She even joined us at an offsite adoption event and was a total star!
