Do Science Learn Science YLACES is a grantmaking nonprofit that seeks to develop citizens with scientific habits of mind utilizing the environment as a learning laboratory where students conduct inquirybased research and contribute to a better collective understanding of our changing world. Grant Application Details Grants range from equipment and supplies for taking environmental measurements to recognition and support for students presenting their research projects and working for pervasive inclusion of student research projects in science teaching. Student Research Symposia The goal of SRSes is to build students39 scientific and research abilities. Students presenting their research at one of the symposia are treated as scientists and therefore see themselves as scientists.
