Last week, Missouri Republican lawmakers overrode the will of the people by repealing a paid sick leave law that voters passed with 58% support in the 2024 election. This short-sighted decision will hurt Missouri’s working people and their families. Across the country, GOP-led states are attempting to thwart voters' ability to enact pro-worker laws through ballot measures. Missouri is just the latest example.
