MISSION: The Indika Alliance works to improve the lives of girls and women in domestic work in India by supporting their struggle for human rights, dignity and justice; and helping to protect them from trafficking and abuse.OUR WORK: The Indika Alliance focuses on engaging individuals, institutions, corporations and organizations across the United States to build support and raise funds for our mission. As an all-volunteer organization, the Indika Alliance is able to maximize the impact of funds we receive by directly supporting critical programs for more than 200,000 child workers and women domestic workers in India. Programs are operated by our partner organization in India. We also provide our partner with expertise, stakeholder connections and advocacy support to help amplify the impact of their efforts and programs.OUR PARTNER IN INDIA: We are proud to partner with the National Domestic Workers Movement (NDWM), India's foremost organization for the support, education, and empowerment of India's domestic workers since 1985; and the recipient of the country's highest award for human rights – The Priyadarshini Global Award. NDWM's programs have impacted more than three million domestic workers across India. Their subsidiary Jaan Foundation works to prevent trafficking in high-risk rural areas and provide education and skills training to child workers across India.
