Welcome Preserve and Enhance the Quality of our Lakes Preserve and enhance the quality of our lakes. Big Pine Lakes located in Aitkin and Pine counties consists of two lakes connected by a channel. The north lake is generally known as BIG PINE LAKE or North Big Pine Lake. The south lake is called PINE LAKE or South Big Pine Lake.
