On September 21, 1991, the Armenian people, united in spirit and determination, declared and secured their long-cherished independence. Armenians across the diaspora, throughout the former Soviet Union, and resolutely in Nagorno-Karabakh, stood together in solidarity. Much has transpired since that historic day, yet the source of our common purpose endures.

ARMENIAN ASSEMBLY OF AMERICA INC
On September 19, 2023, the Armenian people of Artsakh were once again mercilessly attacked by Azerbaijan as the brutal Aliyev regime set into motion ethnically cleansing Armenians in order to gain full control of Artsakh. After brutal blockades and military assaults, Azerbaijan's final blow was to forcibly displace the 120,000 citizens who had no choice but to leave their homes, businesses, and livelihoods behind. Two years later, we commemorate the lives tragically cut short, and we continue to fight for the release of Armenian prisoners of war and civilian captives who illegally remain in Azerbaijan's custody.
