The mission of Arts and Entertainment for DFW Youths is to help underserved youth in our area find their way out of generational poverty The mission of Arts and Education for DFW Youths is to help under-served youth in the DFW area find their way out of generational poverty. For the Children, Inc., d/b/a Arts & Education 4 DFW Youths, is a life-enriching program established to provide disadvantaged and at-risk youths with the opportunity to experience the live-stage performing Arts, educational programs on University and College campuses and at all of the major Dallas Museums, coupled with Partner generated adventures. We introduced an instructional reading program, Readers’ Theater, to help students improve their reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. The kids enjoyed collaborating and working together, while improving their reading capabilities. We are of service to disadvantage youths, 130,437 living in poverty per Dallas ISD’s latest count, in a City where almost 280,000 people live in poverty per the Dallas Morning News.
