Foster needed for 4 weeks for Cookie and her 6, 4 week old puppies. Cookie was rescued by Paws of War from a closed puppy mill. Due to previous commitments, we will need a new foster for Cookie and her 6 puppies for 4 weeks beginning May 30th until approximately June 30th. We are looking for a foster to care for them for four weeks. If we cannot find someone to commit for four weeks, we would consider two fosters for two weeks each for the 7 dogs. We are seeking someone with foster experience who can separate Cookie and her pups from their existing animals. Also given these are very young puppies, we do need someone home most of the day. Please note that these puppies and Cookie will be adopted out to Veterans and First Responders only, and all applications will be handled by the adoption team only. The Smithtown Sunrise Rotary Club is having a fundraiser for Paws of War and the Beacon House. People can sponsor a full sized American Flag featuring a medallion with a hero's name on it. The hero can be a veteran, active military member, Police Officer, Firefighter, EMT, Teacher, Coach or anyone else that has made a difference in your life.
