FAAAF WELCOME TO FAAAF The Foundation for the Augmentation of AfricanAmericans in Film FAAAF is a 501c 3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to identify inspire and prepare the next generation of AfricanAmerican filmmakers as they continue to influence craft and develop the evolving images of AfricanAmerican people in cinema. REEL KIDS The concept behind Reel Kids is to expose middle school through high school students to areas of the industry that people of color have routinely ignored producing screenwriting film reviewing and the technical aspects of the film industry. PRODUCERS INSTITUTE The Foundation for the Advancement of AfricanAmerican in Film FAAAF seeks to provide educational opportunities to the next generation of movie executives through its Producers Institute the Institute. SPECIAL EVENTS In order to support the Foundations initiatives we have several film events including The Black Reel Awards Black Reel Television Awards The LightReel Film Festival and our monthly film literacy screening program the LightReel Film Series.
