DC Greenworks grows livable communities using living materials.  We address three areas of needed sustainability: environmental health, equity, and economic self-sufficiency, through green-collar job training and implementation of Low Impact Development (LID) techniques. LID includes green roofs, rainbarrels, rain gardens and pervious pavement solutions designed to reduce storm water runoff. We believe that environmental, social, and economic sustainability are intrinsically linked. DCG grows green spaces, people, opportunities, and dreams to benefit the green-collar workforce, our partners, the natural resources of the national capital region, and our community.  DCG works in partnership with community groups, public agencies, businesses, and nonprofit organizations to develop community-based environmental programs that address the environmental, social and economic issues facing urban Washington.
