Raja Yoga and Meditation Center of Greater Philadelphia
The Raja Yoga and Meditation Center of Greater Philadelphia aims to bring the healing and life enhancing benefits of yoga to a broader than usual demographic through its classes at the main studio and its community outreach programs. Our classes at the main studio are more accessible to individuals with limitations either physical or financial than at other studios. Our outreach programs provide yoga and meditation to those who may not be able to access a studio. As of 2016 our outreach programs include classes at: two elementary schools, a low income seniors center, a substance abuse center, cancer patients in a hospital setting, and international refugees in South Philadelphia. We also offer a yoga teacher training program specifically tailored to imbue a desire to serve the community through yoga as well provide the specialized skills to reach a wider population.
