Knotts Island Volunteer Fire Department
This is the official Facebook page of the Knotts Island Volunteer Fire Department in Currituck County, North Carolina. It shall be the mission of the Knotts Island VFD to serve the citizens and visitors of the Knotts Island community as needed during emergency situations. We will provide fire suppression, emergency first aid services, and other emergency services as needed. We will provide these same services to mutual aid agencies whenever requested We will provide these services through the provision of personnel and equipment. We will provide training of personnel and the maintenance of equipment that meet the standards of the fire and emergency service. It shall be the mission of the members to provide a courteous professional attitude toward the customers of the Knotts Island Volunteer Fire Department. The quality of our service is dependent upon an attitude of “Neighbors helping Neighbors".
