BFA has provided essential life-sustaining and emergency assistance to people in crisis since 1981. We envision a community where all people have access to an adequate supply of food & sufficient resources. Brunswick Family Assistance is dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families in crisis, in Brunswick County, by providing emergency assistance, education and skills development programs. We have a wide range of coordinated services and programs all designed to meet the needs of low-income households in Brunswick County. Our two emergency food pantries operate 5 days per week. We also offer financials assistance for utilities, rent, emergency shelter, medical RX, transportation, etc. In addition, we distribute USDA commodities food once a month and offer a summer food program for school aged children in the County. We also have a back to school bookbag program for children and an "angel tree" Christmas program for low-income seniors and children.
