📣 Opportunity for Feedback: Definition of "Extraordinary Care" FSSA is seeking public input on a proposed definition of extraordinary care for individuals receiving attendant care through the Health & Wellness, Traumatic Brain Injury, and Pathways for Aging waivers, as well as Participant Assistance and Care under the Family Supports waiver. 🩺 What’s being proposed? "Extraordinary care" refers to care provided by a parent or spouse to meet intensive nursing needs—such as ventilator care, tracheostomy care, or TPN—that the individual cannot perform independently. This care must go beyond what a parent or spouse would typically provide to someone of the same age without a disability or chronic illness. 📌 The current definition of extraordinary care for Structured Family Caregiving under the listed waivers will NOT change. 🗓️ Feedback Deadline: June 15, 2025 📧 Send comments to: ➡️ BDS.Help@fssa.in.gov ➡️ Medicaid@fssa.IN.gov 🔗 See the full announcement from FSSA at https://inf2f.blogspot.com/2025/05/extraordinary-care-for-service.html #FamilyCentered #ParentSupport #CommunitySupport #IndianaMedicaid #WaiverSupport #DisabilityAdvocacy (fb)
