He stood firmly with Fairfax County employees as they organized to form their union, providing unwavering support throughout their 20-year campaign for collective bargaining rights. Gerry Connolly believed in an economy and a democracy that work for all — and he fought for it every day. He stood with union members and not-yet-union workers alike, always on the side of fairness, dignity, and justice.
