Join us in welcoming Sophie Dykes back to SCA! Sophie is so excited to be returning to Scintilla to begin her 13th year in elementary education as a teacher in our lower school! She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education that she earned through attending both Valdosta State University and Georgia State University. Her favorite part of teaching is getting to know each and every scholar individually, learning their unique abilities, talents, and interests so that she can help them achieve their biggest goals. Sophie has been married to her husband, Blake for 12 years. Together they have three beautiful Spartan children, Levi (11), Annabelle (forever 7), and future Spartan, baby Nolan! When she’s not in the classroom, Sophie enjoys spending her time reading, writing, and hiking with her family. We are thrilled to welcome Kim Kudyk back to Scintilla Charter Academy as a support teacher in our Upper School! Kim has a Bachelor's degree in Middle Grades Math and ELA, a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction, and over 17 years of experience in the classroom. She's also certified in Special Education and has spent all but six years as a lead teacher in a co-taught setting. Kim is passionate about helping students see the real-world applications of math, making sure it's a subject they don’t dread—because everyone can do math! When she’s not teaching, Kim loves spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandson, Archie.
